HANK STONE / IN A TEXAS HONKY TONK
CD REVIEW:
The title of this CD is aptly named. As you listen to Hank Stone- sounding a bit like Darrell McCall and Johnny Bush with a touch of Curtis Potter thrown in- you get the urge to take a couple of swigs from a cold long neck and hit the hardwood floor with your favorite gal or guy. There's lots of honky tonkin' and two-steppin' in this collection! Hank Stone's honky tonk style is accompanied by twin fiddles, steel guitar, electric lead and honky tonk piano.
Covers include the Ray Price hit "Touch My Heart" from 1966; "Unloved Unwanted" , Kiity Well's 1962 song; and the Dottie West classic "What's Come Over My Baby". Spotlight cuts - "Your Jealousy", "Touch My Heart", "In a Texas Honky Tonk", and "Alone in San Antone" as well as a guest appearance by Johnny Bush with Hank in "An Eye for an Eye". Thirteen Performances in all. HSCD.
